How to get the Sidekick Lx Ota Faster.....

During this process...You cannot: Text message, sign into any messengers, surf the web, or enter your download catalog.


Ok people this can be very hard if you make it follow the directions closely.


First for example you want to start at your jump screen


Then You want to press the menu button and go to network status
After Network Status you want to press Menu and M together...
This Screen should come up. This is what you need to look at each time you restart your sidekick to receive your O-T-A update..


1. First power-down the Sidekick and leave it off for about 5 minutes...

2. Power on your sidekick and go all the way to network settings and go to the screen that shows your Bytes Received....(last screenshot shown)

3. Closely Monitor this screen most sidekicks that don't have the update, in the Bytes Received section it displays a low number such as 25k it can show anything but it needs to increase RAPIDLY

4. Also look at the G7 in the top right of your sidekick screen if the white pulse passes through the 7 very fast within 3 minutes of powering on you should be in good luck

5. If you do not see the white pulse passing through the 7 very often within three minutes turn off the sidekick and start this process over again.

Note:::The sidekick O-T-A update is about 12M in size. ***12M in the "Bytes Received" section shows that your sidekick is downloading the update.***

***Once your sidekick shows about 3.1M "Bytes Received" then you know you are in Good Luck.***


*****This process can take up to 20 times if you want it instead of waiting for it to be sent to you go ahead and follow through. If you don't I don't know what to tell you...*****
