Drums (a hobby and a gift)

Alongside going to school, and relaxing home I most often play drums as a hobby. Since about the age of 3 I met a person named John. I saw him playing drums and thought to myself "Why cant that be me?" I want to be recognized for such a great talent as him. My mothers co-worker is related to John, wow that was very convenient. So my mothers co-worker pulled in a little favor and spoke to John about me learning to play drums. Luckily enough John was willing enough to show me a few things about Drums to land me here today. There's a group that John has called "Ebone Roots Dance and Drum Theater" and every Saturday he practices with different children of many different ages. (Here at "Ebone Roots Dance and Drum Theater" we also have a dance teacher that teaches girls dances and we play drum rhythyms to the girls dancing.) So I went to Drum class and I learned a few about drums. To keep a long story short I developed a long-time passion for Drums. I became very close to John and my mothers co-worker and before I knew it, I knew what they knew and my knowledge just kept growing up to this day. Other students in the drum class were also very friendly and I became very close to them as well. Now at a age way past 3 I'm now able to share my knowledge for drumming as many of my friends and John do currently.

Every once in a while we do some work for many people. We often perform at many places such as Churches, Schools and even Malls. Every year we have the liberty of performing at "Kings Plaza Pathmark Multi-Cultural Arts Festival." (Video Below) Hundreds of people come out every year and its always nice to perform to see how we can get the younger people in our community to do things like playing drums or dancing to stay positive.
