Words of Advice. Don't ever please someone in ways that makes you unhappy. Don't look at life in the sense of I'm the worst person lets see if I can make life for someone better. Don't think of someone else before you can think of yourself. Sounds cliche well its the truth. These days we not only have the traumatic events in our life but more often we have the events that turn us into something that we weren't meant to be. If someone gives you the feeling of something you don't like, just get over it because when you die you die alone. Maybe you will have learned lessons on controlling experiences through your time period. As you gain experience of how life really is you start to realize the people, within life who mean the most to you. You cant realize a person for their true colors within 24 hours. If you can well hmm. But honestly it takes a while to understand what someone is all about. "Kudos" for T.I. to let everyone know that "Life can change your directions even when you ain't planned it." Can't you tell that came from the heart? If your going to live your life regretting much of the things you do I suggest you stop and look back. Realize that you did what you did for a reason. In some situations you may consider life to be over but in another situation it may have just begun.
Mark Twain once said "Honesty is the best policy." Now Mark if you were here today and I knew you, I would ask you one thing. What is Dishonesty? Being honest with someone is something that we always strive to do. Why when the time of honesty comes we get mad at the truth? Could it be that were surprised? What are we surprised for its life why wouldn't you expect this from someone?
A Lot of questions remain unanswered but its only within time in which we will get results.

Drums (a hobby and a gift)

Alongside going to school, and relaxing home I most often play drums as a hobby. Since about the age of 3 I met a person named John. I saw him playing drums and thought to myself "Why cant that be me?" I want to be recognized for such a great talent as him. My mothers co-worker is related to John, wow that was very convenient. So my mothers co-worker pulled in a little favor and spoke to John about me learning to play drums. Luckily enough John was willing enough to show me a few things about Drums to land me here today. There's a group that John has called "Ebone Roots Dance and Drum Theater" and every Saturday he practices with different children of many different ages. (Here at "Ebone Roots Dance and Drum Theater" we also have a dance teacher that teaches girls dances and we play drum rhythyms to the girls dancing.) So I went to Drum class and I learned a few about drums. To keep a long story short I developed a long-time passion for Drums. I became very close to John and my mothers co-worker and before I knew it, I knew what they knew and my knowledge just kept growing up to this day. Other students in the drum class were also very friendly and I became very close to them as well. Now at a age way past 3 I'm now able to share my knowledge for drumming as many of my friends and John do currently.
Every once in a while we do some work for many people. We often perform at many places such as Churches, Schools and even Malls. Every year we have the liberty of performing at "Kings Plaza Pathmark Multi-Cultural Arts Festival." (Video Below) Hundreds of people come out every year and its always nice to perform to see how we can get the younger people in our community to do things like playing drums or dancing to stay positive.
Looking Back--
Every once in a while, I often look back to life as if it was pictures. I look back and think of the times I had while I shared my younger years. Now as a teenager, I think to myself in a few years, would I look back and see this moment as greater moment than reminiscing the past now. Elementary school to me was the Peak noooo Climaxx of my life. Wait "Peak, Climax" who am I kidding, I'm still a teen life has just begun. But back to my Elementary school days. Damn those days were the best, I remember the days of having teachers in 235 raving down our backs to do this or do that. But many of us didn't care at all. Many of us even flunked Elementary school but to our surprise our teachers always found a way to get us "Through The Fire" and made sure we reached Junior High School. To me Junior High School wasn't much of a big experience to me except for the proms, stupid cheese bus trips, and non-stop, in-out of school drama. Oh gosh got off topic again.
Ok, Yes here I am. Recently me and my homeboy Jared and my two homegirls Elyssa and Samara visited our old Elementary school P.S.235. To our surprise many of the teachers were still there. But everyone lost one big element. We all knew that the one we all cherished was gone from us. So I think its only fair enough that we show what we cherish some respect.
R.I.P Ms. Knight
That's right: One of the best principles a student can ever had passed away and people were devastated, but months did allow others to heal while years even lifetimes will allow the rest to heal.
So we visited the School first we asked to go inside security was very nice in letting us know that "Learning was still alive in 235." Being that "Learning was alive in 235" we couldn't enter the building to visit until 3:15 when everybody was dismissed. By the time 3:15 came, facial recognition came into play. My eyes played games with me. Half the teachers I had about 7 years ago looked totally different while others just looked the exact same. So I came across some teachers such as my fourth grade teacher and we just had a conversation that didn't end. It was nice to come back and visit and let the teachers know that they made a difference in your lives. One teacher even told me, it would be nice enough if we could visit more often to be some sort of mentor in the upcoming graduates lives of 235. By the time we got back outside I was amazed to see how the 3rd graders acted, they had this one girl that knew every curse word in the book. (Growing up now and maturing, everyone curses but seeing a little 6 year old curse is pretty funny) In my head I'm saying "Look at this about 8 years ago I couldnt even spell much less curse." I don't know man, I guess its the influence these kids are being preyed upon these days...

"Distances....."-----><-----
I made this post "Distances" for many reasons. One reason is that, Distances can be used to express the length and width of a friendship. Another reason is that Distances can express what individuals do to keep peace between each other. In many cases as friends we often keep our distances from each other just to keep our friendships stable, or to keep the functionality within the friendships going.
In our lives we go through many things and many of us tend not to talk about it. I'm not saying there's anything wrong with that, but when a trustworthy friend comes to help we often have ways of pushing them away and that's where most of us are at fault. Here we create Distances. Best friends also have ways of always expecting the most out of each other as if were supposed to be perfect. In the words of Jay-Z and Lil Wayne, "I'm not talking to no particular audience." There comes a time in our lives when we want to just chill and relax and not worry about anything. As friends shouldn't we be the supporters of our kind. Shouldn't we help others within good or bad situations instead of acting envious towards others? A question like that, I think its only in human nature in which we will find the answers. We cant predict what one might do or say. Its life every second brings new experiences. In many situations I often feel like events in life are like sitcoms. Different episodes , but most often the same characters playing the same roles and doing the same things. Its life though, in the end we still have the viewers. Perhaps most of them are critics and others are just fans.
